INTELLECTUAL RETREATS

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” (Matt. 22:37)

We organize weekend-long intellectual retreats in Washington, D.C. and around the U.S. for university students. Retreatants attend lectures with top-notch theologians and scholars, pray the Liturgy of the Hours, attend Mass, spend time in personal prayer, and enjoy meals and times of fraternity with the Dominican friars, TI staff, and other students.

INTELLECTUAL RETREATS

Thomistic Institute campus chapters have the opportunity to collaborate with TI staff to organize retreats for their university community at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, D.C. Thanks to the generosity of our benefactors, these retreats are offered cost-free to students with the exception of travel (limited travel scholarships are available).

If you are interested in planning a retreat for your chapter, fill out our retreat request form.

PAST INTELLECTUAL RETREATS

The TI Texas retreat was a spiritual oasis in the midst of my semester! It gave me time to reconnect with friends, our Lord, and myself. I am grateful to the Thomistic Institute, the Dominicans, and our visiting professor for hosting a wonderful weekend, conducted in a joyful spirit of honorable festivity.
— Madelyn Wibbenmeyer, University of North Texas
This marks my first ‘TI experience’ and was a spiritually encapsulating, wonderful experience! Meeting with the friars and other TI staff and members inspired me. I was able to gain a lot of wisdom and I look forward to sharing this with others as I look to grow my newly founded chapter.
— Christopher Onyebuchi, University of Houston
The Texas TI retreat was a fantastic opportunity for myself and the UT chapter. It was very edifying to learn more about honorable festivity... We are not alone in this endeavor toward the heavenly banquet. My blessings and praise go out to TI and to the Dominican Fathers!
— Juan Pablo Basualdo, University of North Texas
