About the speaker:
Bernhard Blankenhorn is ordinary professor of dogmatic theology at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), with a focus on ecclesiology, sacramental and ecumenical theology. He is also president of the Institut d'études dominicaines (IED), at the same university faculty.
His research focus is on speculative ecclesiology as well as the theology of Albertus Magnus.
He was born in Germany and raised in the United States. He entered the Dominican Order in 1998 and is a Catholic priest. He was previously professor of theology at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome.
