About the speaker:

James M. Jacobs is Professor of Philosophy and Assistant Academic Dean at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, LA, where he has taught since 2003. He holds a Ph.D. from Fordham University, as well as an M.T.S. from the Franciscan School of Theology. He specializes in the thought of Thomas Aquinas, particularly natural law ethics. He is currently serving as President of the American Maritain Association and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Natural Law. Dr. Jacobs is author of Seat of Wisdom: An Introduction to Philosophy in the Catholic Tradition (CUA Press, 2022).
