About the speaker:
I am a professor of philosophy and associate department chair of philosophy at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. I work primarily on medieval philosophy. Topics I have worked on include causation, modality, truth, God’s foreknowledge and causation of created actions.
I recently published a book Aquinas on Efficient Causation and Causal Powers with Cambridge University Press. I am currently working on a second book called Divine and Created Causation in Medieval Philosophy. I am the current President of the Society for Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy and an Assistant Editor for the American Catholic Philosophical Quarterly.
