About the speaker:

W. Matthews Grant is Professor in the Department of Philosophy at University of St. Thomas (MN) and is Associate Editor of the American Catholic Philosophical Quarterly. His research has focused on Aquinas and the Philosophy of God, particularly issues having to do with the divine nature and the relationship between divine and creaturely agency. In addition to numerous articles on these topics, he is the author of the book Free Will and God’s Universal Causality: The Dual Sources Account (Bloomsbury Academic, 2019). He also defends a Thomistic account of divine simplicity in Contemplating Divine Simplicity: Five Views (edited by Ross D. Inman, Bloomsbury Academic, forthcoming).
