Thomas Aquinas and the Greek Fathers

Ave Maria University

A conference co-sponsored by the Aquinas Center for Theological Renewal at Ave Maria University and the Thomistic Institute.

The conference will include presentations by Khaled Anatolios (University of Notre Dame), Joseph Wawrykow (University of Notre Dame), and Marcus Plested (Marquette University), among several others.

Additional papers welcome:

"The conference is open to submissions pertaining to its theme. The "Greek Fathers" for each of the papers is understood quite broadly, such as a single Greek Father in relation to Aquinas, a theological topic in Greek patristics that would be particularly fruitful in dialogue with Aquinas, Aquinas's own research into the Greek Fathers, the debate in the 20th century (and today) in historical theology regarding scholastic and ressourcement principles, or matters of theological methodology more broadly involving Greek patristics and Thomism. "

Those interested in presenting a paper should email graduatetheology@avemaria.edu by August 1st, 2017 with a title, a summary of their proposed paper, and their institutional affiliation.
