The Thomistic Institute chapter at MIT, the Graduate Student Council, and the Tech Catholic Community present a lecture by Prof. Sarah Byers of Boston College titled “The Psychology of Compassion: Stoicism in the City of God.”

This lecture will focus on how St. Augustine's thinking about the Stoic critique of compassion in City of God 9.5 helps us understand some things about politics today.
