About the speaker: Gladden Pappin is assistant professor of politics at the University of Dallas, and is the cofounder of American Affairs. He is also a permanent research fellow and senior adviser of the de Nicola Center for Ethics and Culture at the University of Notre Dame. He received his AB (history) and PhD (government) from Harvard. His writings appear regularly in a variety of publications, including the Norton Anthology of American Political Thought.
