Christ is the Word spoken by the Father. He is revealed to us in the Scriptures and points to Himself as a principle by which the Christian should “read” experience, history, and reality. Yet how does a reader engage with literature “Christologically”? What are the unique perspectives that Christ can bring in the interpretation and experience of written works?

Drs. Justin Jackson (Hillsdale College), Michael Mack (Catholic University of America), and Thomas Pfau (Duke University) will address these questions at the Hillsdale Thomistic Institute’s Christology in Literature conference, examining the theology of literature and exploring the approach that both literary movements and particular authors take regarding Christology.
