Lecture Description:

We are made for friendship with God. But do we still need human friendship? St. Thomas Aquinas helps us understand why Christians need human friendship, and how to develop it, even in a culture that militates against it.

Speaker Bio:

John A. Cuddeback is professor and chairman of the Philosophy Department at Christendom College. He lectures widely on topics including virtue, culture, natural law, friendship, and household. His book True Friendship: Where Virtue Becomes Happiness republished in 2010. His writings have appeared in Nova et Vetera and The Thomist, as well as a number of academic volumes. His website, Bacon from Acorns, is dedicated to the philosophy of household.
