Catholic Feminism: Finding One’s Identity in Christ

Building 4, Room 163

Massachusetts Institute of Technology

7:00 pm

A lecture by Dr. Jessica Murdoch (Villanova University)

About the talk:

"What has Catholicism to do with feminism? The intrinsic principle of contemporary secular feminism is self-determination and freedom grounded in choice. Catholic feminism takes as its interior impulse identity in Christ, which always points towards a receptivity to the givenness of being. This alone grounds real freedom, and a true and authentic feminism."
