Application for the Thomistic Institute Study Abroad Program

Our regular decision deadline for the Spring semester of 2025 has passed, but we are accepting applications on a rolling basis until spots are filled. Apply now - space is limited!

If you are currently enrolled in a university-level degree program and wish to study the ancient and medieval Roman intellectual tradition in the heart of the Eternal City, please submit your complete application below.

Scholarships and financial aid are available for qualifying students.

A complete application includes:

  • This form

  • A résumé (upload below).

  • A personal statement 1-3 pages in length, double-spaced (upload below). This statement should discuss:

    • Why are you interested in studying in this Thomistic Institute program at the Angelicum?

    • What is your interest in the ancient and medieval Roman intellectual tradition? What is your interest in the thought of Thomas Aquinas?

    • What previous Thomistic Institute activities and programs have you participated in (if any)?

  • Unofficial academic transcript (upload below). We’ll ask for an official transcript later in the application process.

  • Two letters of recommendation. These should be sent by the recommenders themselves, directly to Dr. Rebecca Marisseau at rmarisseau@dhs.edu.
