13th Annual Aquinas Philosophy Workshop

CALL FOR PAPERS

PROPOSAL DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 29, 2024

The Thomistic Institute invites graduate students in philosophy, theology, religious studies, medieval studies, and related disciplines to submit papers for our 13th Annual Aquinas Philosophy Workshop.

A select panel of graduate student papers will take place during the workshop.

We invite paper proposals related to the philosophical consideration of Divine Simplicity. Paper proposals may address historical questions about divine simplicity, for example, those coming out of the Platonic, Neo-Platonic, or Aristotelian traditions in ancient or medieval philosophy. We also welcome proposals from a contemporary perspective, especially those that pertain to debates on contemporary philosophy of religion. We will privilege papers that engage with the Thomistic tradition but will consider papers on the theme of divine simplicity that do not engage with Thomism.

One-page proposals should be submitted by Thursday, February 29 using the form below. Decisions on paper proposals with invitations to present will be sent in March.
